Description:

Hands-on interactive program that delivers practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily living and learning. Mindfulness skills, concepts and applications are taught through songs and singing, along with movement and breathing games. The songs provide the foundation for students' learning about how mindfulness applies to their own individual lives, as well as their lives in relationship to their peers and community. Songs cover themes such as: remembering to breathe when you are feeling upset, gratitude and character education traits such as empathy, kindness and cooperation. Program helps students access their multiple intelligences such as musical, spatial, kinesthetic and interpersonal intelligence.

Simple and practical activities to create a healthy mind-body connection are modelled and explored through experiential learning.  Students gain a new understanding of physical and mental health, a sense of empowerment in their ability to work with their thoughts and emotions, and practical tools to use every day to decrease stress and re-calibrate a healthy mind-body relationship.
